British media reported that U.S. Vice President JD Vance had a tense phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday. The discussion centered on concerns about misleading claims regarding the Iran war and regime change.

According to reports, Vance criticized Netanyahu for portraying the Iran conflict as easy and trying to involve President Donald Trump in it. He accused the Israeli leader of overestimating the possibilities of regime change in Tehran.

Vance told Netanyahu that the promises shown to Trump about Iran had not been fulfilled. Meanwhile, sources said Netanyahu had assured Trump that the Iran war and regime change would be simple, but Vance was aware of the reality behind these claims.

British media also reported that one day after the call, Israeli outlets incorrectly claimed that Vance rebuked Netanyahu over Israeli settler violence against Palestinians. The White House expressed suspicion that this story was fabricated to discredit Vance.

Finally, despite the assassination of Ali Khamenei, Iran’s regime has strengthened its hold on power. Therefore, JD Vance is now leading negotiations to prevent escalation, emphasizing that he rebuked Netanyahu over misleading Trump about the Iran war.
